Summary
When Bepo is captured as a slave by the celestial dragons, Law asks for Luffy’s help infiltrating a gala in Marie Geoise hosted by his new ‘owners.’ Law has already succeeded in kidnapping a king to steal his invitation and identity for the night, so Luffy will have to attend as his plus one. There’s just one teeny tiny little hiccup with his plan.
“Wait a second,” said Luffy, scrutinizing the paper intensely. “Queen? As in…” His entire body stiffened, his mouth hanging open as it slowly dawned on him just what he’d agreed to. His entire crew sat in silence around the table, a level of quiet so uncharacteristic of the Strawhats that Law was briefly convinced he must have spontaneously gone deaf. “I have to pretend to be your WIFE?”

Summary
“You’re injured, Straw Hat,” Law reminded him, and now there was something firmer behind his words. “That injury—your chest—I worked hard to put your insides back inside you. It was a long, difficult surgery, and you’re still recovering. You roughed yourself up enough with your tantrum earlier, and I’m not going to let you destroy all that progress because your instincts are telling you to throw yourself against the floor and hump pillows until you pass out. That’s a pathetic way to go.”
Luffy’s ears twitched, twitching like he was about to bolt. His tail lashed once behind him, but he said nothing because he agreed. Dying because he couldn’t handle being in heat was probably the worst way to go.
“If I left you alone, you would reopen the wound,” Law said flatly. “Your heat is gonna get a hell of a lot worse than this. You will thrash around too damn much. You’d probably tear your stitches, and then you’d be in more pain than this.” Law’s gaze softened slightly, but his scent stayed dominant—icy mint, sharp scent, the calm warning of a coming storm. “That’s why I’m going to help you through this.”
Luffy stared, he tilted his head, making his ears flop a little with the movement, “Huh?”

Law then shouldered the backpack and picked Luffy up in a bridal carry after wrapping him in one of the smaller blankets from his bed to keep him warm. Luffy’s head rested against Law’s chest, his breaths shallow and even, lulled by the rhythm of Law’s heart. Law smiled, feeling a dark satisfaction. He had Luffy exactly where he wanted him, and now, nothing would tear them apart. Once he got Luffy into the car, their life together could finally begin. Law felt blessed by how soon this day had come.
Far sooner than I ever imagined. I’m so fucking lucky.
