“More like a children’s story.” Regina complemented. “He’s just something parents tell their children to get them to behave, ‘don’t get close to the docks at night or Captain Hook will get you.’, that kind of thing.”
“Every kid in the Enchanted Forest heard a story about him, no matter where they lived. It’s something passed through generations” David finishes.

When protecting a crewmate during an ambush, Zoro takes a hit meant to kill, but refuses to slow down. Not when his family are in danger. Not when he is the only thing that stands between them and the enemy.
But it's not during the fight that he feels it, it's in the quiet after where the cracks start to splinter and grow.
The swordsman keeps pushing himself, far past breaking, with his hands barely able to hold onto consciousness. He says nothing. He always says nothing. But when the pain finally catches up with him, he isn't able to stop himself from breaking. He can't do this alone; he won't survive if he does.
