Being completely honest, Edwina didn't really notice Brettany before the girl tried defending her from Bill that afternoon. She was faintly familiar from violin competitions and as a face she sometimes saw passing in the hallway. But the girl was a year older than her and they didn't have mutual friends. And being honest a bit longer, Brettany seemed very good at just... sinking into the background. Or at least she was before Bill outed her basically in front of the whole school.

It was grey, dull and cold, the landscape just as half-dead as everything in the house too, the neighbours are the weirdest people Eddy's ever met. Not too promising. The days trickled by the same, one after the other, as Eddy roamed around the house, counting windows and stairs and everything blue. Trying to "play" a piece on the different creaking sounds of the living room floor. And that’s how he found the Door.

Eddy was always the touchier one among the two of them. It’s been like that since they became close friends as teenagers, and it felt as natural as breathing by now. And that especially was the case when Eddy was anxious, reaching out towards Brett for reassurances, like Brett had his own kind of gravity. Sometimes Eddy didn’t even notice. But Brett did. And being honest, he was deeply honoured by it. It spoke about more trust and love between them than any he could actually articulate.

Eddy has been working in the Special Medical Experiments Department of the Institution for years. Sometimes even he didn't understand why he kept doing it when he definitely saw shady, sometimes even cruel things. But Eddy is also definitely falling in love with one of the patients, Brett who has the condition of needing physical touch to survive, otherwise being in great pain. When the head of the department decides to include Brett in an experiment where they test if the 'curse' can be broken by simply resisting the urge it creates, so not giving Brett physical contact, no matter the pain he feels, Eddy knows he definitely needs to do something before Brett will lose his mind.

Bach, Beethoven, Mozart, Tchaikovsky and Shostakovich have been friends since almost the first day of music uni. Their friendship wasn't always perfect or peaceful, far from that, but they always worked out every issue in the end. But when they get an assignment in their class called 'The inventive approach on classical music' (weird enough title in itself), well that is a unique challenge for all of them. How will they pass this damn class? Luckily, Mozart's here to save the day with his idea. Because what could be more inventive than mixing classical music with pop music, right?
