When Buddy and Violet are kidnapped by Ex-Libris, it's up to Chase and Deacon to find the two and rescue them. Their only clue to the keys' location is an island located near Europe. Chase and Deacon turn to research, history, and their lineage for clues and begin to slowly unravel the dark origins of Ex-Libris.

He’s careful to capture the background of the windows and the greenery behind those panels of glass. Separating the two from the outside.
In the dead of the night, when all is calm and peaceful, Albedo remains uninterrupted. His concentration was unwavering, Aether holding the alchemist’s full attention.

Yet there it was, a creaking, almost squeaking like sound ringing in his ears. And just like that his eyes shoot open, wide. He held his breath for a second, strangely scared that if he were to breathe just a bit too loudly he’d be sucked into a never ending darkness.
He doesn’t move his body, nor his head as his eyes slowly look over to his right side—to the window. And he sees Emma and Norman doing the same. And in a split second, his worst fear is confirmed.
There, right in front of them, much to their horror was the hook of the lock on their window slowly, but surely being lifted up from the outside.
