Maybe it's better to leave things alone?
That's what Izuku thought almost everyday now.
Maybe it's better to leave things alone, how they are supposed to be. Keep them as they are in their entirety.
There to stay forever like canyons in between mountains. Like the smog that infected the sky. Like a bruise on a knee, covered with a tiny band-aid. That can't be doing anything to help.It was like memory, memories that couldn't be touched by any hand. They are solid in the brain, nevermore changed by the present.
Maybe he could fly away. Away from these problems that haunt his aching bones. Away from his bruised knee covered by that lazily applied bandaid. Away from the myriad of scars layering his body.That sounded nice. Peace forever. No war, no villains, no memory. It seemed like a distant dream that he could reach out and almost touch. Kept away from it only by a tiny glass panel. He could break through it easily, but he chooses not to.
The time will come to open it.
Maybe his body longs for death.
Who knows?

Summary
Izuku Midoriya never really had a solid dream. It was always just the concept of being a hero that kept him going. Even through his crippling self harm addiction, his depression and possibly more mental health issues.
All might his most dear hero shattered what was left of those dreams, hell he should've just told the kid to jump like Katsuki did.
With his mother getting a gunning surprise and Izuku making a forced leap of faith; and the villain of sludge staying in prison, Izuku never running out into danger without thinking. It changes the course of his life.... dramatically!
But...
If there was a way for him to be a hero, at least be someone's savior, he would take it immediately. I guess that's why the idea of being a vigilante is so enticing.
But can Izuku take the brunt of it all? Or will he crumble and finally end it all, knowing his life isn't worth anything to the world.
Or if you are fucking lazy,
Izuku is a vigilante with a self harm problem. Blah blah blah his mom fucking dies and he almost kills himself multiple times. The loser falls in love with some purple haired nut from a bakery and boom boom boy is left pinning after what he can't have... lmfao

They took him to a doctor immediately, who then referred him to a psychologist, and so on. It never seemed to stop. Between involuntary therapy, medication, and episodes that nearly killed him, a radioactive spider bite was the least of his problems.
However, it did cause a few.

With a quick nod and smile Peter left, quickly closing the door behind him and stopping at the mirror.
Sure, he didn’t look bad but…he didn’t look good either.
His body was filled out. His skin rounded and his stomach poked out a little. How did he let this happen? He didn’t look like this- he was thin. He looks wrong- disgusting.
Peter looked down at his wrist, attempting to wrap his hand fully around it but failing.
He can’t do it anymore. Back then he could do it with ease, even able to wrap two fingers around.Or

Peter never meant to stand by as his beloved uncle got shot. Peter never meant to let the killer get away. He never meant for Aunt May to realize he was unable to protect Ben. He never meant to get kicked out. He never meant for Tony to pity him and take him in.
He did mean to skip dinner the next day.OR: Peter has to battle his internal demons after the guilt from Ben’s death causes him to develop an eating disorder and self-harm addiction. Aunt May’s grief makes her too emotional to think clearly, so Peter is disowned. He fakes normalcy around the Avengers until things get too difficult to hide. Apparently overworking yourself behind THE Tony Stark’s back isn’t a proper coping mechanism.
