The kid stilled, his eyes going sharp in a way that made James want to reach for his weapon. He remembered he didn’t have one, then remembered he was talking to a 13 year old the size of a cocker spaniel and he didn’t need a weapon anyway.
“Give me access to MI6’s computers and I could take over the world,” the boy said softly.
“Not exactly what we’re trying to accomplish, but an interesting option all the same,” James said, pursing his lips. “What’s your name?”
“Why?”
“Because, if I’m going to recruit you that’s something I’ll need to know.”
***This is the origin story of Q/James Bond's relationship had they met quite a bit sooner in their MI6 careers. It is also a continuation/expansion of Jealous Gods, but it should make sense as a stand-alone piece. It will be formatted like Jealous Gods, going back and forth between present and past. Despite this openminded work environment, however, assumptions were made: obviously 007 was a hypersexual womanizer and the mild-mannered Quartermaster was asexual.
When the reality turns out to be that 007 is ace and Q is actually into submission, life is bound to get more interesting.

In contrast to his crisp dry English, Q's pronunciation of the French words was fluid and flawless, the throaty tone of the fricatives sending a surprising jolt of awareness straight to Bond's cock — all the more remarkable given his degree of blood loss.
"You're wasted on Q-branch, you have the voice for a phone-sex call-in line." The words slipped out of Bond's mouth without forethought, although he had plenty of time to think in the sudden pause that came afterward and stretched on for endless moments. Bond hadn't realized until now how Q was always there, with an immediate reply. In all their banter Q had never before been at a loss for words. Ever.

The story takes place through their first meeting after James won the position of Lancelot in 1997 until the pivotal meeting with Gazelle in 2015. There is a canon and a fix-it ending for these two, allowing the reader to decide which to choose.
Besides that, there will more than likely be several one-shots that did not make it into the final story that I will publish later on.
