She leaves the movie at his house. Possibly so he’ll have to bring it back to the video store and she can pin it on him if Keith realizes they stole it. Dressed in pyjamas, toothbrush sticking out of his mouth, Steve wanders down to the living room to grab a blanket and finds himself reaching for the remote to rewind the movie instead.
His hands tingle in anticipation as he hovers over the play button. Like he’s committing a crime.
He does it anyway, and Sodapop appears on screen, walking home beside his brothers. A feeling stirs in his stomach that reminds him of fighting a demogorgon, which is ridiculous because all he’s doing is watching a movie about a bunch of young guys.
Oh.
Steve’s got a secret. Well, actually he has two.
He’s going to have to tell Robin at least one of them soon.

“You’re right.” All heads turned to see the Dark Knight himself stalk towards them, “He does know better. But he may have been compromised, emotional.” He stared at Jason as he spoke. Jason felt the urge to step back, but he kept his feet planted.

“I’m your mentee?” Jake teases, smirking lightly. “And you talk about me enough that your wife wants to meet me?”
“You can continue to be a pain in my ass,” Beau sighs, looking up at the ceiling. “Or, you can take the offer of a free dinner with a beautiful and intellectually stimulating woman.”
“Oh, I definitely want to see this side of Cyclone,” Jake grins. “Domesticated.”
“You’re bordering on impertinence.”
“Me? Never.”
“Let’s go back to when you respected me and my position.”
Jake appears to settle down, but only slightly. He clears his throat and squares his shoulders. “I’d be honored to attend dinner with your family, Admiral. Just tell me a date and time.”

This isn't how either of them expected it to go, but maybe that's the silver lining to the otherwise dark situation.
Aka... It didn't take his death to finally make Dick walk away from Gotham, but he might not be able to say the same in a year.
The cure was still early stages of development, considered experimental at best. The Bats were the least of their concerns. Dick knows things will never be the same, assuming he lives at all.

He’s always been more than capable of taking care of himself and that doesn’t need to change now, just because he has someone in his life.
