“Obviously, I would!” Eddie was whisper-yelling now, and Buck wasn’t sure exactly what point he was trying to make, but he was enjoying every second of this. “But one of us is going to have to have restraint and it has to be the—the one with the most experience.”
Buck felt his mouth drop open in delight. “Eddie,” he admonished. “Are you calling me a whore?”
“No!” said Eddie, looking increasingly flustered. “I just mean—clearly you have the power to do—” he gestured at Buck, “that, so you have the—the responsibility to, like, use it. Responsibly.”
“Did you just quote Spiderman?”
Eddie propped his elbows on the table and dropped his head into his hands, groaning dramatically. “I’m going to die. The first date, and I’m going to die.”
“Been there, wouldn’t recommend it.”

Buck crossed his arms, glaring at her. “Hey, some of it’s respectable! ‘Learn to surf?’ Solid goal. ‘Save a life?’ Pretty sure I've nailed that one.”

This takes place straight after the Avengers have defeated the Chitauri. Hulk smashed Loki, who then managed to run away. But soon the avengers find him and also find out about everything he's been through since Thor's coronation. They decide they want to help, but Loki thinks it would be better to stay away.

“Let’s do it.” Eddie shrugs, casually, like he hasn’t just agreed to something monumentally insane.

When the 118 attend a conference in Miami, Buck sees it as a free vacation, and a chance to finally blow off some steam. Eddie is on a mission to convince the team he in fact can be spontaneous, while Bobby is just preying that they don't completely ruin the LAFD's reputation by the end of the trip.

Summary
They’d promised each other, sworn blind that they wouldn’t let him get a rise out of them. That they weren’t going to snap and give Gerrard and his ugly ass presence what he wanted.
Despite that promise, the following shift they all had after Buck being wrung out, it happened.
“What in the hell is that?” Gerrard’s arms were folded, eyes narrowed, looking to all the world a villain from an 1800s children’s novel.
Eddie, who Buck had never seen quite so obviously looking to start something, turned on his heel from the coffee machine, the shadow of a smirk written across his face.
“What’s what?” Eddie asked coolly, as if he didn’t have a caterpillar crawling along his upper lip to match Gerrard’s.
OR - Eddie is a little unhinged since Christopher left. When Buck gets yelled at for having facial hair, Eddie makes a spectacle out of his own.

Chim might be stubborn, but so was Hen.
“I love Maddie, and I really hope that she’s okay wherever she is, and that she’s getting the help she needs. But she’s the one that ran. She’s the one hiding information from you. Don’t you think you might be taking your anger out on the wrong Buckley?”
Chimney sighed again, and there was a rustle through the phone like he was running a hand down his face.
“Fine. You might have a point."
OR
Apology fic where Chimney actually has to apologize for his actions! This takes place right after season 5 episode 5 when Buck tries to transfer firehouses. Chimney punched him before taking off, Maddie is gone, and things at the firehouse are weird. Of course Buck takes it personally and blames himself. Canonically, Chimney got away with apologizing offscreen. I think he deserves to be chewed out a bit. The first chapter is Hen reacting to Buck trying to transfer and calling Chimney. I haven't decided yet if I'm going to write other perspectives and slowly have the whole firefam call to yell at him - or just make chapter 2 be his actual apology to Buck. Buck deserves an apology and we deserve to hear it!

Ohhh, David realises as he gets handed a plate. Okay, I got it. He was surprised that Bobby’s son hadn’t come up when Michael first mentioned his children given how much emphasis he put on the positive co-parenting relationship their family unit strived to maintain. But then again – Buck was obviously much older than Michael and Athena’s two children if he had a child the same age as Harry. The step/co-parenting dynamic would clearly be completely different than it was with May and Harry.
Or,
The one where David is determined to prove that he’s in it with Michael for the long-haul, and that includes accepting and caring about the children of the Grant-Nash household. All 3 of them.

The announcement had echoed through his head since Charlie had giddily exclaimed it. If Angel wasn't a resident, then what was he? He didn't have a job at the hotel, unless acting out the skits Charlie put together counted.
She had said he was family, but if anything, that only worried him more. He'd had a family before, on earth, that had given him a home all the way up until the point where they hadn't. How long would it be until the others at the hotel discovered one of his preferences, like his father had, and decided it meant he deserved to be homeless? Between her mother and her father, it was hardly as though Charlie had a family that stuck together through thick and thin.
No, Angel decided to himself as he lay awake staring at his ceiling, if he wanted to stay -and he did- he'd need to pull his act together and try to change himself to fit the hotel rather than the hotel to fit him. Maybe if he was just useful enough, he could prove to them he was worth keeping around.

There was an insecurity there, an odd sense of vulnerability in the brash young man that he couldn’t quite place. He prided himself on being an excellent judge of character, easily reading what others chose to keep hidden. DiNozzo was proving to be a conundrum, a shadow – a shape shifter, dancing away every time he thought he’d got a handle on the young Italian. He couldn’t read DiNozzo – and it was seriously pissing him off.
