Summary
In November 1966, Tilda Minyard gave birth in Hawkins National Laboratory, Indiana, to identical twins. Andrew (003) was given to the lab as part of their ongoing experiments and Aaron was returned to Tilda to raise in town on the condition she returned annually for him to be tested, as an experimental control group.
In November 1983, Aaron has no idea that he has a brother but is desperate to make it out of Hawkins as soon as he graduates high school. No one has called Andrew by in his name in three years since he helped 002 escape the lab and hearing that his twin is missing and his mother abused him sends his powers dangerously out of control. Kevin has been living a precarious lie since escaping the lab and finding his biological father. He’d promised Andrew to protect his brother but Aaron had disappeared. Neil is new in town with an agenda of his own. Nicky comes back for his cousin at great personal risk. Renee is trying to protect her friends. The rest of the swim team is just along for the ride.

“But you have the top grades of your class, your collage record shows that you are reliable and smart. Sport sponsorship that even got your cousin and twin into college and of course your degree in criminal justice and psychology.”
The older man looked up, directly into his eyes.

He'd always had a knack for languages and lying and all the 'messy stuff' came easily enough when your father is called the Butcher of Baltimore. So Nathaniel became the Wraith. He was untraceable, unknowable, infalliable; a criminal fairytale.
When Kevin Day leaves the Nest, there's no better person to send.

"Who the hell are you?" Andrew demanded.
He wasn't anyone, not really; not anymore. He hadn't really been anyone in years now. There'd been a time. Once. But there were entire lifetimes between who he could have been and what he'd become. He could taste it sometimes; blackberries and sand stinging his tongue like the iron branded on his shoulder.
It was easier to pretend he'd never been anyone at all.
"I'm nothing," he answered. The ghost of a smile pulled at his lips; sharp and cruel. "A wraith." The Wraith, he didn't say, but the shadows ran through Andrew's eyes and he wondered if Andrew had heard it anyways.

“No.” Aaron panicked, staring at Andrew in disbelief. “Andrew has never been…!”
Wymack shifted his weight on the filing cabinet, reaching down to grab his trash can and passing it across Andrew in time for Aaron to grab it and spew a cascade of vile liquid into it, while Andrew pushed his chair onto its back legs and avoided all eye contact with those in the cramped office.
Andrew knew who did this.
The only person who had ever willingly gone to bat for him. A person he had mistakenly believed to be dead long ago; this was proof to the contrary. Except… Except that there was one name missing.

Summary
In the back of Andrew’s mind, he already knew the identity of the serial killer Nathaniel Wesiniski. It was impossible to not know. But he didn’t want to. He couldn’t.
It couldn’t be true.
But of course, it was.
Because Neil Josten was too perfect to be innocent.
(Little side note, some things about the characters are different; Aaron, Andrew, and Neil's heights have been changed to ones that are more realistic for their personalities lol, Andrew has grown out of his hatred for people as well as his inability to be touched {he is still sensitive about it, but he is okay with Neil feeling him up}, actually since this is a time skip, a lot of the characters are older and they have grown out of a few things. Just felt that adding this little note was a good idea!)

Aaron had never seen a dead body before, which he supposed was an odd first thought to have about your mother's corpse.
Maybe he should have called someone, an ambulance, or even Luther but he didn't.
He instead looked at the other needle laying on the kitchen table.or: Tilda dies and Aaron is sent to live with Andrew and the spears, except Andrew is nothing liked he expected him to be and he soon finds out why he should have stayed away.

Andrew was a kick to the back of Stefan’s knees as his mom followed him through the motel room door. Andrew was a slap, and another, and another. He was a screaming, crying, angry mother, shoving whatever belongings they owned into their single duffel bag. Andrew was leaving their key at reception at midnight and starting their journey to another town. Andrew was the swollen ankle he walked on for miles. Andrew was Mary pulling roughly at his blonde hair to dye it black in some random gas station that night.
Neil left Stefan with Andrew in Oakland. He tried to leave the memories there too.-
Neil hopes Andrew has forgotten the kid he was friends with all those years ago. Andrew wonders what the hell Stefan is doing in Arizona, and why he’s calling himself Neil.
