Summary
"Do you...dislike me?" Arthur asked, voice far more vulnerable than Merlin had ever heard it.
"What?" Merlin couldn't hide his amusement, his outburst earning an offended look from Arthur
"I just...you say those things about me. Surely that's a sign of dislike."
Merlin shook his head, catching his breath.
"No, Arthur, I don't dislike you. You'd know that if you weren't--" he gestured to Arthur, the unspoken word being 'stupid.'
Or: A corrective piece on the campfire conversation between Merlin and simpleton Arthur.

“I’m everything your parents hate. I’m poor, I'm rude, and I take up space. I’m nothing like you white picket fence fucks–no offense.”
Butters blinked at him, brows raised in a perpetual confusion.
“Are you sayin’...you want to be my parent's kid instead?”
Kenny burst out into laughter at the mere suggestion of that.
“Hell no! What I mean is-” he sighed, deciding how he should best explain the genius of this plan to Butters. "Date me."
Or: Kenny pretends to be Butters' boyfriend in a scheme to get the Stotch's to stop grounding him.

Summary
One Saturday morning, somewhere at the playground, a ball hits the brick wall, bounces back against a boy's head, and then the boy's body hits the ground, motionless.
At any other place, that would be just another emergency, of course. A local case of a local family and local network of relatives and friends and doctors.
In South Park, that is a spark that lands on dry brushwood and old grass. A domino piece that falls on the row of other dominoes. You take it from there.
A boy loses his memory, a town loses its sanity, and Kyle Broflovski cannot make his goddamn mind.

“Well I could help you with all those annoying, grasping patriars you know. If you begged me prettily enough.”
“Astarion not five minutes ago you were telling me of your devious schemes to destroy me, and now you’re offering to be my, what? Personal social coordinator?”
“Oh Wyll, these little chats wouldn’t be any fun at all if I couldn’t keep you guessing."
Wyll Ravengard has a patriar problem; or, Astarion gets a new job, of a sort, and certainly doesn't make any mistakes at all.

Summary
They hadn’t gotten along at first, not by any means. But they’d grown more civil, they’d opened up to each other some, and they had more in common than either of them realised. By the time their group of misfits had managed to slay the last of the goblin leaders and grant the tieflings safe passage from the grove, Wyll had assumed - or, perhaps, hoped - that they had buried the prickly hatchet and could at least be good acquaintances, if not friends.
... That was, until the night of the tieflings’ party, when Wyll’s hopes for friendship with Astarion went up in flames.
~
Wyll and Astarion express their attractions very differently. As a result, they misinterpret each other quite frequently. Some very frustrating miscommunication ensues.

Summary
Everything should be fine now, except it isn't. Why does Batman still seem to brush Joker off? Why won't he listen to anything Joker says? Why won't he just get that they're supposed to be best enemies now?
Well. Maybe his roommate Bruce Wayne can help.
