It is movie canon compliant, but includes new scenes and post-canon scenes that explain how Sugiki brings Suzuki into his life and falls madly in love with him. I wrote this because we just aren't talking enough about how much Sugiki loves Suzuki and how hard it was for Sugiki to come out and ask him for that dance at the end of the film.
