Summary
Arthur and Merlin have angered a sorcerer Arthur had been sent to arrest for treason. As a result they now have a magically conjured creature after them.
When they are eventually confronted, Merlin is left with a split second decision to make sure Arthur is safe, even when the prince is right there with him.

Summary
The trouble begins when Merlin vanishes mysteriously in broad daylight. When he finally returns to the castle there is something odd about him. After a serious incident it is discovered that a very dangerous and powerful snake species was used as a method to influence Merlin's state of mind. Arthur and Merlin set out for a quest to kill the mother beast of the Fomorroh while it is tranquilized. If they succeed, Merlin will be freed and they can protect Camelot from King Cenred and his right hand, Morgause.
Meanwhile, Guinevere and Morgana try to stop what looks like an impossible fate falling on Merlin as the Kingdom is in for another threat...
