Ao’nung hated Neteyam.
It was as simple as that, a simple rilvary.. a rilvary that made them brush shoulders whenever they would walk past each other or a rilvary where they would purposely soak up every single touch they could, savouring it for a second too long. Chasing that electric heat that sparked between the two boys. a soft brush of knuckles or a sliver of hands on their waist. Small things that made them both transcend into an endless spiral. Mind games really, but in the end it was just the other one trying to tease them, annoy them.

"Then why do you smell like that?" Aonung questioned, his tone accusing as he took a step forward towards the Omatikaya.
"Smell like what?" Neteyam questioned, this time around genuinely just at a loss over the other boy's odd behaviour. Despite the embarrassment, the Omatikaya sniffed the air, before deciding, "I don't smell anything aside from the salt in the air."
It was more than shock that Neteyam felt when Aonung suddenly wrapped his hand on the Omatikaya's nape, before tugging and, no warning whatsoever, pressing his nose to the crook of Neteyam's nape.
The beta frantically shoved Aonung away the very next second, and the Metkayina went along, stumbling a few steps backward with a genuinely confused yet interested look on his face.
"Like an omega," Aonung said a little dumbfoundedly before he said with more confidence, "You smell like an omega."
or Neteyam's future didn't unfold the way he thought it would, and Aonung knew who he was from a very young age.

Set in a modern high school (AU), between Neteyam (the perfect, protective captain of the Forest High basketball team) and Aonung (the cocky, hot-headed star player from Reef High).
What started as fierce court tension has spiraled into a breathless, undercover "friends with benefits" arrangement. They both insist it’s just hormones, but with hyper-observant teammates breathing down their necks and their fathers on a collision course with the truth, their absolute denial is about to get them caught.
