Summary
Mydei is tired as hell after finally submitting an assignment he finished at 3 am. He decides to celebrate the small victory with a trip to the store for groceries and some pomegranate juice to make himself a nice meal. Unfortunately, he runs into a problem.
Beep beep beep.
For some reason, the machine scans the pomegranate juice thrice. The cashier tries to tap on something on the screen, but nothing changes. He then tries scanning his staff card to cancel the last two items.
The whole list of scanned items disappears.
The cashier gasps. Mydei just stares in silence.
“I am so sorry about this,” the cashier says, his face flushing with embarrassment. “I’m not sure why this is happening. Let me scan everything again.”
He resumes scanning each item a little more hastily, one by one. Then, he finally reaches the final boss: the pomegranate juice.
Beep beep beep.
The cashier’s eyes widen in horror. Mydei’s frown deepens further. Hesitantly, the cashier tries to cancel the last two items again.
The whole list disappears.
“Fucking hell…” Mydei curses, his jaw tightening as he clenches his fist on the counter.
He just wants his pomegranate juice, goddammit.

“Oh my god,” he mutters, heart racing. He chucks his teleslate on his bed and flops back down.
