“It’s me, isn’t it? The me from the past.” Rover said quietly, his voice mournful. Luuk could only stare at the floor.
“Like I said. The person I love is long gone.” He rasped.
“But I’m right here!” Rover suddenly shouted, and Luuk flinched at the hurt in his tone, squeezing his eyes shut as if he could block it all out.
“Look at me, Luuk.” Rover said, his voice choked with emotion. “I’m right here. Please- You don’t have to keep- torturing yourself like this.” He begged. Luuk’s face twisted with pain.
A deep pain has laid slumbering within Luuk Herssen's chest for years, since the first time Rover left him for a mission elsewhere. Now, suddenly he finds that Rover does not remember him- That the final message he had received had indeed been a goodbye, for Rover to leave him behind for good.
That pain is all it takes for the flowers to finally bloom.

Summary
Mydei is tired as hell after finally submitting an assignment he finished at 3 am. He decides to celebrate the small victory with a trip to the store for groceries and some pomegranate juice to make himself a nice meal. Unfortunately, he runs into a problem.
Beep beep beep.
For some reason, the machine scans the pomegranate juice thrice. The cashier tries to tap on something on the screen, but nothing changes. He then tries scanning his staff card to cancel the last two items.
The whole list of scanned items disappears.
The cashier gasps. Mydei just stares in silence.
“I am so sorry about this,” the cashier says, his face flushing with embarrassment. “I’m not sure why this is happening. Let me scan everything again.”
He resumes scanning each item a little more hastily, one by one. Then, he finally reaches the final boss: the pomegranate juice.
Beep beep beep.
The cashier’s eyes widen in horror. Mydei’s frown deepens further. Hesitantly, the cashier tries to cancel the last two items again.
The whole list disappears.
“Fucking hell…” Mydei curses, his jaw tightening as he clenches his fist on the counter.
He just wants his pomegranate juice, goddammit.

Phainon scratches his head, debating the possibility of this creature being some kind of spy against the Flame-Chase. A human would be thrown out and arrested immediately, but something soft and cute and fuzzy like this could very well be an attempt to slip under their radar.
Although… the chimera maybe-a-spy is doing a terrible job at looking soft or cute. It’s the most sour-faced chimera he’s ever seen. Even the Garden of Life’s chimera literally named “Bad-Tempered” for attitude issues has never held such a fierce look on its face. This chimera probably-a-spy has a serious frown and flat expression. Its small body is wired with tension. Long, sharp claws scratch the marble ground.
“Aglaea?” Phainon asks. “What’s a chimera doing in the Hero’s Bath? Did the little fella get lost?”
The chimera’s eyes suddenly snap open, fierce gaze locking onto Phainon, and it growls.
In which Mydei turns into a chimera, Phainon panics, the other Chrysos Heirs aren’t as bothered as he thinks they should be, and shenanigans ensue.

Teeth nip at him, sending a thrill down Rover’s spine. He squeezes his thighs tighter around Scar’s waist.
“But lately I’ve been thinking… Why am I the lamb? Why do I need to be the sacrifice?” Fisting a hand in the back of Scar’s snowy white, blood-streaked hair, Rover yanks his head back. Scar’s eyes are dazed, unfocused—pupil’s blown. They lock with Rover’s. “Why, instead, am I not the altar?”
Why, indeed.
“You want me, you crave me to the point of violence,” Rover murmurs, eyeing the rippling tacet mark circling Scar’s throat. “Why are you not sacrificing to me instead? If I am your god, I deserve it.”
