Summary
Performing a simple, polite gesture should not result in a marriage, but—Adam Parrish learned—this did not apply to selkies.
The summer before his senior year at Harvard, Adam returns to the same small coastal town where he's spent the past two summers. Bussing tables isn't what he wants to do with his life, but the dockside seafood shack where he works is popular, and the tips the employees split pad his bank account enough to afford a more leisurely fall when he gets back to Cambridge.
Little does Adam know he's in for a very surprising summer when a selkie shows up at The Sea Shanty and Adam saves his coat...

Summary
Ronan Lynch was annoying, but it was the kind of annoying that Adam could deal with. Like the clicking of a fan or the sound of a freight train going by in the not-so-far-off distance. Like a freight train, there was no point in trying to reason with it or appeal to its good nature. He just had to wait for the cacophony to pass. It was comforting in a perverse way.

“This place is so cool!” Blue yelled at her, and then downed her shot. Adam followed suit.
“Thanks! I own it!” She pulled a face, “I co-own it!”
“Whose the other owner?” Adam yelled. Someone pushed another drink into hands, and he took it.
Hennessy just nodded toward one of the other bartenders - biceps on display, the sleeves and midriff ripped off a Jack Daniels t-shirt, tight jeans, ink crawling up his back.
Familiar ink.
“Holy shit.” Adam shouted into Blue’s ear as Hennessy climbed back onto the bar, walking along the line of still blazing fire, putting it out with the thick soles of her platform shoes, “That’s that guy from Monmouth.”
Blue followed his gaze and raised her eyebrows, “The one that you always slobber over?”
“I do not slobber over him.” Adam sniffed, “I just drool a bit.”
[AKA, Ronan owns a bar where he dances on tables, Blue and Adam have a bet about who can have the most hook-ups, they fuck about it, and things go from there]
