His Alpha sat up a little straighter now as she walked past him to greet his mother, the scent of her Omega drifting across his senses. The mouthwatering scent of fresh rain, the spice of cinnamon and something else, something rich and dark called to him and he couldn’t stop his Alpha from responding.

Rey became flustered at the gasp ripping from her throat as his large hand enveloped hers. She felt a warmth spread through her, almost an instantaneous ache in the curve of her shoulder at the mating gland as her Omega responded to his Alpha. Her eyes shot to Bens, the intense whiskey color getting darker as he too reacted to their hands touching. His scent wrapped around her, the scent of smoke, fire and the faintest hint of bergamot.

He's been doing this for years and have made some great headway in his own stressful life with them. Tonight, a new girl, Rey joins them looking for the same sort of feeling of rightness in it all, and Ben cant help but want to focus on her.
If only his friends could stop acting like the children they've escaped from for the hour.
