Summary
To illuminate the darkness one only needs a candle; to smother the sun, one needs a monster. To topple a god, one needs a primordial strength. So what does one need, if one is to try and find redemption?
As the dream plague known as The Infection spread across Hallownest, the Pale Court fought to save its bugs from the dangerous affliction. But one night, something changes. Dreams lie dark and still as a Sun falls near Dirtmouth. Its impact rattles more than the earth, it shakes Hallownest to its core. And what rises from the ashes could change everything, even moreso than its existence already has.
The question is, if it will make things better or worse. Or rather, if she will.

Summary
Alt just wants to find her brother, but instead she opens the door for something far beyond her understanding. Now, she’s gotta figure out what to do with this Pale Being in her Soul, and she’s still gotta find Airen!
Hornet wants to help Pharloom rebuild, atone for her father and great grandmother’s misdeeds, and do everything in her power to shed the vices of her Pale nature. She also wants to be able to go ten minutes without another life-threatening crisis, but alas, it is not to be.
Lace doesn’t know what she wants, now that her mother is dead, and her savior (and only means of survival) is being incredibly vague on just what the new arrangement is. Hopefully she can figure it out soon, though, before she does something egregious enough for Hornet to withhold her life-giving Silk and banish Lace to share’s Phantom’s fate of fraying (where is Phantom, anyways?).
Ghost isn’t supposed to want anything, but they broke that rule a while ago. Who are they, without a given purpose to fulfill?
Drifter just wants to finish what they started below Central.

Summary
Tony Stark is dying, but all the world sees from the outside is the slow breakdown of a previously dignified (kind of) billionaire into an isolated, self-destructive hermit who just made his former Personal Assistant into the CEO of his company for seemingly no reason.
Hornet, though, doesn't know any of this. All she knows is that, during the long journey to return to Hallownest from Pharloom, she's only ended up further away then ever- all because she couldn't help her curiosity about the glowing disk labeled 'Pym' that once was large enough to crush her, and is now small enough to fit in the palm of her hand.

“We don’t even know what it is!” Legend exclaimed, exasperated.
“Sure we do!” Wind replied eagerly. “It’s like a little fairy creature… thing.”
A sudden blast of dark magic burst from said “fairy creature thing.” Like a battering ram, twice the size of its caster, it shot past them and slammed into a poor chu-chu that had been sneaking up on them. The jelly-like monster didn’t get thrown back, no, the force of the spell simply exploded it into blue bits of goo.
They stared in utter shock. Then, abruptly, Wind whirled onto Legend, an eager, almost feral glint in his eyes. "Can we keep it?"
