'Hikaru' asks, and Yoshiki almost feels bad, but fails to do so when he realizes the wind against his back were the puffs of air 'Hikaru' expelled between words, the small proof that, despite it all, there was a living, breathing creature by his side, surrounding him, choking him from inside his own body, holding his consciousness with unsure hands and chewing at his anxiety.

    ‘Hikaru’ likes sleeping. It’s a little bit of a thrill, to slide into a soft nothingness that’s almost like non-existence, to know that around him the masses of humanity are doing the same thing that he is. Plus, he never knows exactly what he’s going to dream, or if he’s going to dream at all, so the novelty never wears off.

    For some reason, though, it’s not happening tonight.
