"Why do you think that?"
Phil turns and stares at him, conflicted feelings fighting behind that strong gaze that Missa's always found himself drowning in. The bird then sighs and his shoulders slump.
"This island is dangerous."
"I know."
Phil reaches for Missa's hand absent-mindedly, "We could die tomorrow Missa."
"I know." Missa interlocks their fingers and squeezes.
Or, Missa and Phil are dealing with a lot, but they have each other.

It wasn't a question but he still answered.

Or, leaving your youngest siblings will never be easy. And in Chayanne's case it isn't any easier.

"No no no," Missa blurts out, closing the distance between them as he gently holds onto Phil's wrist, "You didn't scare-- Well you did but that doesn't matter right now."
Phil doesn't bother to say anything else as he slips his eyes closed. Missa only stares, watches his every move. The way his shoulders rise and fall from breathing, the way his wings flutter against the wind picking up against the rain.
He's alive, they're both alive and... Okay is not really the appropriate word to use for this situation but he can remain a little delusional right?
He would say they're both luckily alive and both on the hopeful track to being more or less okay.
Or, Philza is in desperate need of help and only Missa is the one who can try.

She gasps, when the ghost of her father pulls close, an inch away from her face.
"𝘗𝘢𝘱𝘢..."
He doesn't say anything, staring. Menacingly, much like her actual father. She almost giggles, 𝘢𝘭𝘮𝘰𝘴𝘵.
Her heart breaks the more she memorises his features. His hair gets longer, his eyes becomes more dull and tired, his smile wrinkling less.
He's changing. 𝘛𝘩𝘦𝘺'𝘳𝘦 changing.
Tallulah doesn't notice the ghost take her hands in his before a featherlight kiss is being pressed onto each of her bruised knuckles. 𝘈 𝘱𝘳𝘰𝘮𝘪𝘴𝘦.

All the lights flashing and shining on him, on them, on everything and everyone.
The beat of the drums, the strumming of the guitars, Wilbur’s voice echoing through the room.
The crowd screaming his lyrics back at him and he smiles so brightly like the world had given him the tightest hug ever.The crowd only gets louder as they jump around and dance along.
Then the next few moments are when everything truly starts to sink in.
Wilbur turns to her shoots her the happiest grin she’s ever seen from anyone as he sings to her. Just for moment, Tallulah allows herself to get lose in those honey brown eyes of his.
“'𝘊𝘢𝘶𝘴𝘦 𝘺𝘰𝘶'𝘳𝘦 𝘴𝘰 𝘳𝘦𝘭𝘪𝘦𝘷𝘪𝘯',𝘠𝘰𝘶'𝘳𝘦 𝘭𝘪𝘬𝘦 𝘢 𝘣𝘳𝘦𝘢𝘵𝘩 𝘰𝘧 𝘧𝘳𝘦𝘴𝘩 𝘢𝘪𝘳 𝘰𝘯 𝘢 𝘸𝘢𝘳𝘮 𝘴𝘶𝘮𝘮𝘦𝘳 𝘦𝘷𝘦𝘯𝘪𝘯𝘨!"
Tallulah feels the world pause before her. Her breathe catching in her throat as her heart leaps out of her chest, melting into a mess on her hands.
