You elegantly step in front of him to stop him in his tracks, slowly trailing a finger down his chest.
“Do you think me so unprepared, darling?” you tease him. You know he knows that you know enough of how things work, but you appreciate his attempt at looking out for you even so.
He gazes down at you, eyes unreadable, and slowly strokes his lithe fingers down your spine, leaving a trail of goosebumps in his wake. He leans his head down towards you, coasting his lips across your cheek in a chaste kiss.
“I’ll follow your lead,” he whispers into your ear. “Let’s go play, kitten.”

Summary
You dreamt of the stars.
They gleamed in the sky, twinkling brightly as the wind caressed your face. For a dream, the scenery felt realistic...too realistic. You startled as someone laughed in your ear, and as you turned to look at the person's face, the setting changed.
Now, you found yourself in a desolate landscape, hands and ankles bound as screams of anger and desperation could be made out behind you. Before your eyes was a tall person, the ominous energy coming off of them so frightening that you began trembling.
Their face was hidden by a mask, but in their eyes lay an ugly possessiveness that caught you off guard. The mysterious person grabbed your chin forcefully, and your eyes stung as you felt the pain.
Something was going on, but you had no idea what was happening. Words were exchanged, but you couldn't hear them - you couldn't feel your body either.
This was the nightmare that kept you awake every night.

Halas, through History, any record concerning the five greatest combatants of Hallownest was lost...that was true, until the day a mute and stoic Knight stumbled upon the personal journals of said champions.
