Summary
Turning a corner she started, there wasn’t anyone around but a clearing and a large working neon sign. The words Goodneighbor clear as day in the dim light of the coming storm. Stunned she looked at it for a long time, lost in the moment and wondering if she was hallucinating. The German Shepherd at her side whined and stuck his nose on her elbow. Blinking she pushed forward, heeding only the dog’s motivation and clear wanting to get into the gates as it pranced back and forth between her caution and a door… an honest to god door next to the illuminated arrow. She stood at her full height in front of it. Shock on her features as she turned the knob and it wasn’t locked or seemingly rigged.
“This feels like a trap…” she whispered to herself, as she pushed the door open and the dog entered beyond, fearlessly running ahead of her at anything she faced.Series

Summary
Her and Nate were both discharged after the victory of Anchorage, and returned home war heroes. Nate was officially issued his Silver Star right in front of the Museum of Freedom, the hometown hero welcomed with cheers. It was everything those recruitment posters had promised. She had hated it. Off the public records she had been issued her own awards, and she would throw those away in a hearbeat if it took the memories away. Her service would never be public knowledge, which suited her just fine. Nate never quite understood her willingness to let her own awards be a secret.
Nora's journey through the wasteland, with my own spin on it. Mature rating mostly for language, but there is a fair bit of violence as well. I mean it is called the Wasteland.
