Summary
She can feel hot prickles of sweat all over her body, even though it's being washed away by the rain.
Squirm. Wriggle. Hot prickly pop.
She rolls her shoulders to ease the feeling, and her shirt sticks to her back. Now her back crawls like it's covered in bugs, and goosebumps shiver down her arms. Yuck. The hot pop and wriggle has grown to clenching muscles she didn't know were there. It's not that this is a mystery to her. She knows why.
She just wishes it wasn't so uncomfortable - and maybe that people would stop making such a big deal over it. Or, maybe, part of why it's so uncomfortable is people making a big deal over it.
OR
Muggy summer weather and Ichika's developing kagune conspire to make an ordinary day seem less ordinary for Ichika.

Summary
What it says on the tin, more or less - a future AU of Tokyo Ghoul and :RE. Some canon events have been changed, notably around the Dragon Arc, although it won't be in focus.
On the kids: Anyone who's finished TG:RE knows Kaneki and Touka's daughter Ichika, but how about the others?
OC kids of canon characters:Yasuhisa Azami - Seidou and Kurona's daughter. Rinkaku.
Take Yuuto - Hirako and Irimi's kid.
And because I need more OCs to fill out at least a small friend circle and part of a class:
Miki - Like many ghouls from underground, Miki and her parents have no surname. She's Fully OC, parents included, to complete the circle of "canon couple's child" and "OC children of canon characters". Koukaku.
Takamichi "Dai-kun" Daichi - One of Ichika's human friends. Taller than anyone else in their class. Probably will grow up to be Amon-sized one day.
Shironami Sana - Human. Friends with Daichi. Pretty protective of each other, although Sana's injured in this one, so her side of it doesn't really show.

Summary
Strictly speaking, Shinohara has no real reason to believe that the rumours about Anteiku have any basis in fact; for all he knows, that weird author lady got them from some local fan who just wanted attention or something. Old Man Yoshimura is nice and welcoming, a lot of the folks working in the café are kids - college or even high school - and it's an all-around warm, friendly environment that seems to act as a community hub of sorts. For now, he's just going to have to monitor the situation.
And so, what might have otherwise become the Owl Extermination Operation gets delayed again and again, one cup of coffee at a time...

This new city was surrounded by a towering stone wall broken only by a huge arch way. Beyond it, a road snaked through grassy fields and hills, and rising in the near distance was the watch tower the stranger had mentioned.
“See?” the girl pointed, “That’ll be the perfect hiding spot.”
“Thanks,” Six mumbled.
The girl beamed at her. “By the way, um what’s your name?”
“… Six.”
“Oh! Cool! I’m Poppy.”
Six gave Mono one last adjustment. “Bye, Poppy.”
“Bye-bye Six!” Poppy waved with frantic enthusiasm that Six couldn’t understand, “I’ll see you later!”
She very much doubted that.When Six remembers Mono after reuniting both halves of her consciousness she stages a rescue that leads both her and Mono into a strange new world without monsters. Or, more accurately, the monsters in this world are friendly.
