Summary
Cara Dune is scary, too, but in a more subtle way than the looming figure clad in gleaming armor. But Omera had seen the way the man gently cradled his child, and decided that even warriors that hid themselves had hearts. She did not find herself regretting the decision; the Mandalorian is surprisingly soft-spoken and polite, though not without rough edges sanded down with halting sentences.
He is kind in the way he indulges Winta, in the way he keeps an eye on his child without fail. He is also unyielding in the way he corrects the villagers' fighting stances, in the way he wields a blaster, in the way he lurks at the fringes, always standing guard. Omera can appreciate that.
Omera gets caught by two raiders upon wandering too far into the forest while picking herbs; Din Djarin comes crashing in.
