No one's surprised when Pepper suggests an alternative to the Sokovian accords before the councilman can even propose the idea. It’s Pepper after all. Of course, she waits until the councilman leaves before dropping the real bomb. The public needs to see a deliberate, personal movement. They need to see the lives of the Avengers be affected by the losses they leave.
When Peter Parker gets a call from his social worker, he just knows he's being kicked out of yet another foster home. When he burst into her office to see the Avengers waiting to adopt him, he’s sure that it was their way of inviting Spiderman to join the team. Luckily the Avenger’s like to discuss vigilantes over breakfast. A small tingle of non-spidey-sense-related nerves flutter in his stomach when Tony complains about the lack of cameras in Queens, but it isn’t until the heroes start suggesting possible people or personalities for the man behind the spider mask that he realizes he has no clue what’s going on.Series

“Still,” her mom says, and her face is tense and almost frightened in a way that makes her a little frightened, too. Her mom is a boss ass bitch. She doesn’t get frightened. “We’re just gonna-”
But before her mom can say what they’re gonna be doing, Uncle Tommy presses the scanner to her neck, and he was right. It’s more a weird sensation than actual hurt.
The way her dad shoves him to the ground at once, though, looks like it definitely hurts.
“Dad!” She calls out, confused and alarmed. At once, she gets between them. She doesn’t know what the fuck her dad and uncle are in a beef about, but she knows enough to know her dad won’t hurt her, even to get to him. Her mom can sort out whatever’s going on to keep the peace. She’s just gotta buy her some time to do it, to talk dad down the way she always does when he’s worked up.
When she looks to her mom, though, she’s gone bone white, eyes wide as she lunges for-
For the scanner on the ground.
The scanner lit up in bright, damning red.

“It’s okay. I know a guy.” Ellie likes talking about Joel like he’s her mob lackey or something. Makes everything feel a little less looming and leering and lethal. She called Joel "a guy" when it came to getting an extra slice of pie or getting outside of Jackson's walls when she needed a day off of school, when she couldn’t fucking stomach it anymore. He told her to cut it out whenever she called him that. It was a bit. She liked all of their bits these days. “He’ll get you out too.”
“I’m Ellie," she volunteers though she doesn't want to. This woman isn’t an enemy. She’s as caged in as Ellie, worn down to the point that she barely had her wits left about her. There was a look in people’s eyes when they got that way, when they’d started giving up hope. Ellie would fucking know.
The woman shakes something loose from her bones, digs her teeth against her lip before she answers, “I’m Sarah.”
Ellie snorts. “Yeah,” she says with only the edges of humor clinging on. “He’ll definitely fucking save you.”

This one got away from me. it started as a normal Penny Parker story with Dad!Tony and newly developing IronWidow, so also Mom!Natasha. It quickly became kind of angsty, but don't worry! It's still my normal fluff-filled content.
As usual, my summary sucks but the story is cute! Give it a try.

There lies his problem, if he tells HYDRA, he’s going to be sent to the chair, if he doesn’t he will be less effective on missions.

The first thing Winter Spider, 78561, could remember was pain. And blood. He couldn't quite remember whose blood it was. Maybe it was his, maybe not. Perhaps the chair had done it. A tactic Hydra used to brainwash its assassins (Read: Prisoners). Well 2 of its assassins. The Winter Soldier and The Winter Spider. The chair wiped its users memories replacing it with only what was spoken during the session. So perhaps pain and blood was not his first memory. Maybe it was the gunshot. Winter Spider remembered the gun shot but never knew where it stood in his memories. It was important. That's all he knew.
