Summary
"Yes," Hank said honestly. "I placed a simple ward on you that I thought no one would be foolish enough to mess with. Scrawled it right..." Connor sucked in a breath when he felt a singular pointed nail run across his spine of his suit jacket, right between his wings. "Here." Between the most holy points of his mortal-appearing vessel. "But I was wrong." He'd never heard of such a thing happening before. That any hell spawn could... It defied known convention. Though... He was fairly sure that none had ever had the opportunity to try before.
"What does it say?"
"My name."
"Hank?"
"No."
Oh. The angel pondered that. Certainly not his real one. The one he chose for himself after he Fell. The one other demons could use to assert absolute control over him. Could it be some clever machination of that name?

Summary
Hank knew deep down what caused him to wake far eariler than his mate these days. It was some eons-old engrained need to protect what was his. His mate, his children. Funny how it was, that fatherhood could so quickly change so many of this old, steadfast routines. Biology would do that, even to an old Alpha like himself, he supposed.

Summary
And Hank... He remembered that old meme from back in the day. The one where it was suggested to delete Facebook (which he never used), hit the gym (he needed to one for his physical therapy), and lawyer up (fuck lawyers). As a young man he'd grinned at the stupidity of other users mixing the the order of the words back then. The painkillers he was on in the hospital made him laugh to himself about it, when Jeffrey suggested he get representation. (Jeff came by later when Hank wasn't so looped to have a more serious conversation.) Because most of the time he'd be happy to hit or even delete the lawyer. The majority were self-absorbed pricks who made Hank's life entirely too difficult when he was asked to testify in court.
Still, he couldn't hope to accomplish what he'd wish to do by himself.
So, he hired a lawyer. Made sure the guy kicked up a fuss about what happened.

Summary
Connor should have recognized the signs earlier. Hank was more quiet than normal. The scent glands under his jaw were a little puffy.
The reddish tint and warmth to his skin was, in fact, not a sunburn.
His Alpha was about to go into rut, and Connor himself was no where near his heat.

Summary
"Uh," Hank blinked. Celebrate? It was just him going back to work, nothing really worth writing home about. "Ah, sure, sure, yeah. Sorry, I... What did you have in mind?"
"Dinner."
"Dinner? Okay, sure, where at?"
"My place."
"Your place?" Hank blinked again. Connor had a place? It made sense, even androids needed somewhere to go recharge or whatever.
"I'd say let's go to Jimmy's, but they haven't started accepting androids yet, so I figured you could just come here."
