Summary
Inspired by Chaucer's The Canterbury Tales, in which each of a group of pilgrims from across the spectrum of Medieval society tells a "tale" as they travel. The tales themselves range from raunchy to pious, formal to satirical.
Each fic in this series comes from the perspective of a different member of the guard. They are intended to be able to stand alone, but you'll get a richer picture if you read them all, in order.

Ilya is helped off the ice. Shane doesn’t even tap his stick.
