Summary
In one timeline gone spectacularly off the rails, Dune fails to retrieve the SandWing of Destiny and dies at the talons of a very angry mother. The SkyWing of Destiny is lost, but Kestrel saves Hvitur from his fated death at the tail barb of Burn, and to return the favor, Hvitur vows to retrieve a replacement IceWing of Destiny… or die trying.
Thus… Sora, the bitter not-bigwings;
Anemone, the moody princess with a dangerous secret;
Tamarin, the blind optimist;
Mightyclaws, the quiet artist with vivid dreams of burning volcanoes, sand and black jewelry;
And Icicle, a vicious, peerless warrior who revels in strife and conquest… become the Dragonets of Destiny.

Summary
In one twist of the timeline, five iconic dragonets of Jade Mountain were chosen by happenstance and thus hatched earlier, under the brightest night, during the SandWing succession crisis.
Kestrel falls trying to retrieve the SkyWing of Destiny, same for Asha and the MudWing of Destiny. Thus, Hvitur, Dune and Webs are forced to adapt to an already fractured prophecy.
And so, Winter, Qibli, Kinkajou, and Turtle, led by the far-seeing, thrice-moonborn Moonwatcher, set out on a path to bring light to the tribes shrouded in darkness and beyond.

Summary
A SkyWing with no family (and one unremarkable acquaintance) vows to become the most dangerous General of all time, ignoring mounting signs that her loyalty is misplaced.
A MudWing struggles to stay optimistic when her bigwing’s laziness forces her to step up and act as her troop’s gatherer, healer, treasurer, communicator, and deputy all in one beleaguered package.
A SandWing joins Princess Burn’s army to avoid being a dragonet caretaker, and he inevitably becomes a dragonet caretaker (and a cook) due to his war wounds, following his friend Six-Claws to the Scorpion Den and the Outclaws, and later, the Talons of Peace.
An IceWing, an introverted, minor noble with a more outgoing brother, struggles to climb the ranks of the gift of order, and is forced to make a terrible choice in order to reach the First Circle before his seventh hatching day.
And a SeaWing fumbles his way through life, meets a crush and a rival on the same day, and gets dragged into said rival’s crazy scheme to end the SandWing Succession Crisis with the help of a prophecy.
Five dragons, five guardians, five tales of chance and fate, intertwined.

Summary
There’s not a rule book for this. Falling in love with four different dragons, none of whom belong to your own tribe. There’s no easy way to do it either, no path forward that doesn’t have at least a few stumbles, a couple obstacles. But it’s fun. It’s warm. It’s beautiful and spontaneous and magical. So they’ll write the book and pave the road, whatever may come, together.
