When Hermione Granger receives an unexpected letter from an unfamiliar owl, she doesn't know what to think. At first, she thinks it's a prank, but his tone and the suspicious tear stains on the parchment lead her to give Malfoy the benefit of the doubt.

Caine is gone. The circus is falling apart. Everyone is desperate for answers, for some kind of way out. Jax is taking every opportunity to try slip away. He's desperate to isolate himself, he knows he'll have to go first.
And poor Pomni is stuck in the middle, trying to juggle keeping everyone alive and finding the way out.
