He flicked the lighter again, cupping his palm tight around the flame. Somewhere above them, the sky had taken on that specific sickly yellow-brown hue that meant the storm was coming in faster than forecasted.
A few feet away, Rudo stood with his boots planted uncertainly, posture stiff in the way people got when adrenaline finally began to drain out of them. His hands were tucked close to his chest, cradling something fragile with reverent care.
A tiny succulent, stubbornly alive, nestled in a previously cracked tea cup. It had been carefully glued back together, the seam still visible despite the effort taken to mend it. Twine had been wrapped around a few times for good measure.
He watched Enjin struggle with the lighter for another moment before finally speaking.
“So,” Rudo squinted across the street, “If she works for the Cleaners… why’s the shop in town and not part of HQ?”
Enjin finally got the cigarette lit and took a drag. The smoke barely made it past his lips before the wind stole it away.
“She doesn’t work for us,” he said, tone easy, almost lazy, even as his eyes never quite left the door.
“Bro Santa said–”
“Yeah,” Enjin tapped the cigarette, “He says a lot.” -

Summary

Sasuke fell back slightly, hand coming up to run through his hair. He whispered ‘yours’ under his breath slightly before cracking his head up to stare daggers at Naruto, “how did you get a baby?”
“Do I have to teach you about the birds and the bees?” Naruto spat, bouncing the Baby slightly while meeting Sasuke’s gaze head on.

After telling his parents about Phantom goes nearly as badly as he could have imagined it going, Danny left Amity Park behind to drift from city to city. He never thought he’d settle down again, but something about Gotham makes him want stability for the first time in the five years he's been on his own.
Jason’s pretty sure his life is about as good as it's going to get. The pit rage isn’t gone, but he’s managed to direct it into something vaguely resembling productivity–until he meets a lonely mechanic with a suspicious ability to calm him down who seems to be able to read him like a book.
And maybe, just maybe, neither of them needs to be alone anymore–if they can learn to trust each other first.

Gotham is definitely not the usual place people decide to go for a Vacation. Danny's not really planning on staying long, but after a while being on the road every day kinda gets old. The city has a large population, ectoplasm, and enough bullshit going on the GIW probably won't think to start up a branch for a while at least.
It's not like he can go home, anyway.
So he's just gonna lay low, get his feet underneath him, and then figure out what to do from there.
Grundy however didn't wait for him to explain any of that. Undead kid needs to lay low? Well, Grundy's got the perfect place for that! Can't get much lower than the sewers in Gotham, right?

Summary
Danny would like to say for the record that it was not his fault.
In fact, Danny would say that it was entirely Clockwork's fault. After all, he wouldn't even be in this situation if it wasn't for that cryptic time god.
But what was his fault was the fact that he kept helping.
He kept taking the cash from the assholes messing with the residents who lived in the area (and damn there were a lot of assholes near where he lived). He kept accepting their offers of food. So because of this new routine that kept him able to afford to rent out his shitty (and possibly illegal) apartment and the hunger pangs sufficiently satisfied, rumors grew.
tldr; after Clockwork dropped of Danny in Gotham he tries to make the best out of the situation which includes helping out some people. Except along the way that led to rumors that he was an up-and-coming crime boss. A rumor he was largely unaware of.

Summary
Izuku's life has changed drastically in the past year; he went from a homeless orphan, to a Hero Course student with the help of the two Pro Heroes that he calls his parents, picked up some friends along the way, improved his mental health and on top of that, he keeps getting away with his vigilantism.
Only, if he could just get a single moment of peace, that would be great, because disaster seems to follow him around wherever he goes. Maybe his vigilantism is to blame for that, or perhaps his secret Immortality Quirk, or maybe even the fact that he knows too much for his own good, thanks to his analysis skills...Hopefully, going to UA won't be too chaotic. Although, keeping up the act of being Quirkless to protect himself from villains and having the literal Symbol of Peace as his new teacher will probably make staying out of trouble a lot harder.

All Might had the same meeting with Deku 10 years previous, just shortly after his battle with All for One. All Might was much more bitter, much harsher on a kid who was just looking for a way to survive. The injury was too fresh and he wasn’t focused on a successor back then. Izuku was told in no uncertain terms that he would never be a hero. But that doesn’t mean that he’ll stop being heroic. All Might was right, you can still help people without being a hero.
In fact, there are many, many ways to do it.
Izuku has found just about all of them.

“Subconsciously, I think it was a fuck you to All Might or the universe. It was either that or throw myself off the nearest roof. So my brain opted for self preservation.” The analyst chuckles wryly, “even if that just meant keeping myself and others alive out of sheer spite.”
Deku’s shoulders drop in a halting shrug, “Whatever worked, I suppose.”
“You’ve saved a lot of people,” Shouta breathes and Hizashi's eyes burn as Deku looks away, “Saved lives. Helped these kids, this community-“
“But I’m no hero,” his gnarled fingers splay wide, shaking in almost mocking jazz hands. Voice bitter but resigned, practiced.
It was heartbreaking.
