Then it gets worse to the point of weeks going by without them so much as exchanging a sideways glance let alone words. And then Ruby starts to pay a lot more of her attention elsewhere... Weiss isn't jealous, she's not! ...But... She can't deny the pain in her chest, growing and festering with every waking moment she comes closer and closer to the conclusion that Ruby doesn't like her, not in the same way at least. Weiss Schnee is a very stressed woman. She wanted to be a Huntress, but her Father and his company had other plans. So when she finally graduated Beacon with flying colours and became an offcially licenced Huntress, she didn't get to go on exotic missions to far away lands, she simply ended up in an office at the SDC headquarters in Atlas. After finding herself on a little buisness trip to the kingdom of Vale, she decides to try and take a break out of her usual routines and create more time for herself. She never expected to start a colourful romance with a cute weapons mechanic, but sometimes life throws a wrench or two in your plans.

“Ruby!”
This was intended to be their final mission before their wedding and Weiss’ inheritance ceremony, but things don’t always go as planned. Ruby, as far as Weiss knew, was not coming back. She shortly learns that Ruby was not the only one she’d lost.
“You’re lucky we managed to extract it before your aura shattered and the dust entered your body.”
Weiss’ entire world had been turned upside down in less than twenty-four hours, and she was expected to live the rest of her life with this grief. Sure, she had her friends to rely on, but Ruby was Yang’s little sister. She didn’t want to be a burden.
“Stay away from me, or you’ll learn just how dangerous a huntress I am.”
She’s never prayed before, but she could use a miracle right now.
“I’m here, Princess…”
