To his mind they are the perfect family. Two parents, five kids, giant wolves they treat like dogs, and lots of love. They have no adultery, history of mental instability, scandals, or bastard kids muddying up the waters.
Now’s he’s got a Stark daughter for a fiancée and half a Starkling on the way.
All he has to do is officially introduce his mother to them, and it will be smooth sailing from here on out.

Colonel Jon Targaryen is a single man in possession of a good fortune who claims no interest in finding himself a wife. With his war wounds, he thinks no young lady would want him anyway for anything beyond the allure of his pocketbook.
Fortunately and unbeknownst to him, Fate has chosen to find a wife for him and will even deliver her right to his doorstep.
Taking on the responsibility of shepherding a young lady about for a Season in London is not at all what Jon had wished to do but he had accepted out of a sense of familial duty. However, once he meets Sansa again after only having met her years ago as a child, he may not consider it a duty so much as a torment.

Even in the lowlight, Sansa can see how Jon pales. His lips turn white from pressing them together so tightly and the paper crumples slightly in his hands. She reaches for him, but he flinches away, dropping the letter in the process. She picks it up.
"Please help me convince him that I stopped along the way to pick up a child, a child I fathered during our rebellion, who will be my bastard. We can call him Jon after you. Right now, only the three of us know. Ashara has thrown herself from the tower after learning I killed her brother, and Howland loved Lyanna as his own family. Jon, you must not let Robert see the child, and you must let me hide him away in the North, away from the court and Robert’s wrath. Nobody can know about this secret Targaryen prince. Not a soul."
Sansa drops the letter herself. If Father took home Lyanna’s son and pretended it was his own bastard son, that means…
“You’re Jaehaerys Targaryen,” Sansa whispers. “Rightful heir to the Iron Throne.”

It’s been nearly a year, six months of it spent at Pyke, and not a day goes by that Sansa doesn’t think of her sister. That unnecessary loss of Arya, a merciless blight in her search for peace. Sometimes, Sansa thinks Arya must have taken Sansa’s heart with her to the grave because the hollow cavity in Sansa’s chest has yet to stitch itself back together.
Thunder booms and Sansa startles, blinking out at the night as the heavens break open and rain starts to pour. Raindrops splatter against the window sill, streaking the pane like a mirror of her own tears.
