“How do you expect me to relax?” She spat and glared at Gen. “She’s up there, with him! We need to go get her!” Kohaku started forward to the hut, quickly Gen jumped in front of her.

Summary
Senku knows his heat is due soon. He’s tracked it, planned for it, and even warned Gen, but stress and science don’t mix well with biology.. especially when your body does whatever it wants. When his cycle hits early in the middle of a lesson with the kids, he expects the worst.
Instead of getting overwhelmed with hormones, all he can think about is making sure the "pups" are safe. Nesting urges, protective instincts, and a very inconvenient need to feel comforted start creeping in... and he’s not sure if it's worse that Gen notices.. or that Gen doesn’t seem to mind at all.
Aka genius science man Senku goes into heat.. but doesn't get horny, just REALLY protective of the village kids.
(There's no sex in this fic, but there will be in the second installation of the series)
