Summary
After the Siege of Suchdol, Henry learns the news about Samuel. This shakes him deeply to his core and so Hans tries his best to be there for Henry, while he struggles with the news of the wedding. Confusion and misery brew deep within both of the men and they don't know much about talking about their feelings. Yet they try anyway, because the only way they can make it out of it is together.

After everything that happened at Suchdol Hans and Henry coop up at Devil's Den searching for a more private accommodation in the meantime. To pass the time, Henry asks Hans for a lesson in archery, since he wants to distract them both from the reality they will soon have to face with the approaching wedding. Hans and Henry spending a day together (it's a date).

After the unexpected meeting in the woods Henry and Hans meet again at Semine's wedding which is supposed to bring them closer to their common goal - finding Otto von Bergow. But things never go to plan when Henry of Skalitz and Hans Capon are involved which leads to interesting situations. Some pleasent, some not so much. Hans Capon finally swallows his pride and opens up about his conflicting emotion just to be captured once more.

After everything escalated and Henry with Hans separated, Henry comes to a sudden and unexpected union with his lord who has seemed to regret what has happened as well. But Hans Capon was never great at admiting his feelings so openly. This night might change that.

Summary
Hans was very drunk. They had sat together, side by side by the fire. The young lordling was near dosing; his eyes shuttered at half-mast. His gilded lashes were very long, and cast shadows upon the panes of his high cheeks.
Pretty. He was very pretty. The thought was upon Henry before he could outrun it. The other lad was very drunk, and his eyes were glazed and unseeing. Unchecked, Henry was left to look his fill. And, furthermore, he found himself much too sotted to care, let alone chastise himself for the impropriety.
Hans confided, that he had once fancied himself in love with a bathhouse whore. Her name had been Klara. He had brought her flowers. She had preferred some other fellow though, and now she would not entertain him. He wasn't sad about it, though.
And then, the young nobleman had said the queerest thing. So queer, that Henry had turned his words, over and over in his head since laying down upon his bedroll.

This works is based around the events of KCD1, with the added element of a romance between Henry and Hans.

You took your boots off and set them beside you as you sit at the edge of the docks, looking over Flat Iron Lake and dipping your bare feet into the water, sighing contentedly as the cool water nips your ankles.
