Lucifer huffs. “I’m fine, Bambi. Just… do me a favor and fuck off.”
Alastor chuckles. “Mmm, no, I don’t think I will.”
Lucifer finally looks up at him, irritated by the sinner’s stubbornness, and is surprised to find him covered in wounds and blood of his own. He blinks, suddenly concerned.
“What… what happened to you?”

Alastor and Lucifer both need someone to confide in after the week they’ve been through—they just didn’t expect that someone to be each other.

Lucifer wasn't worried about Alastor. Absolutely not, in fact, he hated him. Which is exactly why he can't seem to stop noticing his oddly jumpy behaviour, and why he feels the need to fix it. Not a bit of care for him at all.

Straddling him, pinning him down with the sort of insurmountable strength that poses a problem on a good day, let alone—like this. The panic is back again. Tidal, overwhelming. Again and again and again. “Stop wriggling. Shit, what is wrong with you? Hey. Show me where you’re hurt. Now, please.”
Or: Lucifer frees Alastor from his self-made cage. That doesn’t exactly fix everything.

“Tell me, oh radio demon,” Lucifer turned around yet again “What would possess you to come down here just to antagonize me?” He leans back against the counter, arms crossing.
“My intentions are nothing of the sort, I assure you.” Alastor says, all with a twitch of his toothy smile. Lucifer could only watch with a sneer on his face. “Though, if you are feeling… antagonized as you say, maybe you should take a step back and reflect.” The comment only made Lucifer cackle loud. It went on for a good five seconds, and all it did was annoy Alastor more from the looks of his eye twitching and the grip he had on top of his microphone staff.Bookmarked by Meapi

So no, the real problem is not that Steve Rogers is the love of Tony's life and he never had the chance to tell him; the problem is that he’s the love of his life and he has no idea how to tell him. Regardless of his aversion to both shellfish and overused metaphors, the world is Tony's oyster now. He’s got one shot at this, and under no circumstances can he screw it up.
So, naturally, he screws it up in a way that only Tony Stark could be capable of.
(Or: Tony accidentally proposes before they're dating, because the man's a god damn mess.)

Adam was a sorry choice to be left with, and Lucifer just happened to be the only other option that held power.
Alastor indulged him because he was the ruler of Hell, there was nothing more to it.

“Honestly, at this point, just bang it out,” Angel drawls from his fixed spot at the bar, rudely interrupting the semi-serious altercation Alastor’s been painstakingly escalating over the past hour and very efficiently cutting it short. Husker snorts inelegantly, then quickly raises the cloth he’s been cleaning the bar with to cover his mouth, ears immediately folding back against his skull when Alastor’s head snaps around with an unnatural, grating crack of his neck.
“Excuse me, I must have misheard,” he says lightly, moving to turn the rest of his body as well, deliberately grinning in a way that exposes all of his teeth. “What did you say?”
“Bang it out,” Angel repeats, enunciating every word and underlining them with a crude and very unambiguous gesture of his hand, and Alastor viscerally wishes he were in possession of that insolent soul, just so he could rip him apart. “The sexual tension’s so thick, even I find it disgusting. Me! So, do us all a favour and just get it over with.”
or: Alastor gets forced to face the fact that he isn’t as immune to sexual urges as he previously believed (and all the embarrassing fumbling that follows).

They also traded barbs, competed to be a better father to Charlie, and— the worst of all— constantly made puns or horrible dad jokes at each other's expense. The Cursed Wall ™ might have finally been given a break from explosives, but it was replaced by two powerful beings constantly arguing.
All and all, though, nothing too new or exciting.
That would include Lucifer pulling Alastor closer to him in an empty hallway on the way up to their rooms, long after everyone had gone off to bed. This might appear new to others, exciting even as no one knew about it, but to Lucifer it was month two of exploring this tension between himself and the radio demon.

Then they were exchanging the kinds of conversations that only happen late at night in the serenity of a quiet, dimly lit room.

Lucifer got his cup and went for his apple juice like always. Then, he went over to the dessert leftover from dinner and had just decided which brownie he wanted when his hand was smacked away. Mouth agape, the king looked up at Alastor’s narrowed eyes with shock and affront. “What the hell?!”
“You eat way too much sugar. If you are hungry, you should have something that will sate you, not something so pathetically unfulfilling.” Alastor sounded like a man lecturing a child for trying to have cookies for dinner.
“I…” Lucifer stumbled in his shock before shaking his head. “You know, not everyone wants to cook at one am!” And if it was said that Lucifer pouted around those words, he would deny it vehemently.
