Alastor had awoken before the king – he often did, sleep wasn't something that held him in its sway for long.
He turned his attentions to Lucifer's back, narrowing his eyes at the expanse of white skin.
Unmarked and smooth.
Nothing like his own, of course – no scars broke up the pale flesh. The only physical damages he bore from his fall were the blackened arms, the legs ending in hooves, the sharp teeth – and, the more hidden traits, of course.
It was one of those hidden traits that Alastor was trying to find, curiously searching Lucifer's shoulders and spine for any indication.

Summary
To Alastor, soulmates and all that came with it were a hassle. He had ignored it while alive and then continued to do so again after being reborn as a demon, but the mark that came with it was ever present on his skin. It was persistent, was what it was, and he had to wonder more than once what kind of soulmate he was so destined to be with that he couldn't escape it, even through death.

Summary
Being a Fallen Angel, Lucifer can sense angelic powers. Following the week after Extermination Day, it made sense for him to sense that power with the death exorcists’ blood lingering the ground. It should pass, and it did.
Except that sensation feels stronger each time he is near Alastor. Knowing Charlie will be crushed if Alastor perished, Lucifer reluctantly decides to heal him with the offer of a deal.
He should have been mindful with his choice of words.

Alastors spins around, grinning. He looks pleased that Lucifer had asked that, and Lucifer suddenly regrets ever acknowledging this bastard’s presence. “They’re yours.”
Lucifer makes pancakes and Alastor keeps making jabs at him about his wife missing. They definitely get along!

Alastor isn’t sure why he agreed to this… exercise that Charlie proposed. It could be worse, though. He could have been tasked with dancing like the poor sods on the floor. No, all Alastor has to do is provide music for the room.
Soft jazz floods through the room as his gaze sweeps across the room, a familiar beat. A feeling warms his heart, one he’s not familiar with and one he pretends he doesn’t feel as he watches the residents of the hotel sway to the song.

Alastor is still attempting to hide his injury from his battle with Adam, and as much as Lucifer really wouldn't mind if the Radio Demon bled out because he thought it would be a fun secret to keep, he knows he can't do that to Charlie. She's already lost so much.

Unwilling to show any form of weakness, Alastor continues to push himself after the extermination nearly ends him, pain and desperation cutting his fuse shorter than ever. The only one stupid enough to approach him at those times is conveniently the only one he can't fight, but oblivious as the King is, he doesn't catch wise until the Radio Demon nearly crumbles at his feet.
