Summary
Gale knew Astarion was a spawn, which meant he had a master at one point. Whether that master was alive or dead seemed irrelevant, as Astarion was free-thinking. He didn’t seem to be under any sort of command. Most spawn with a dead master would’ve wandered aimlessly with no direction. This was interesting. A spawn with free will. There were surely limitations, though. A spawn was hardly more than a thrall. A puppet on strings.
Gale rather wanted to test those strings.

Gale sighed, preparing for the expected jest, but Astarion surprised him by closing his eyes and nodding thoughtfully before continuing, "Yes, best not to ignite the imaginations of young minds with such allure.”
"Naturally. We wouldn't want budding wizards succumbing to unethical temptations," He gathered his scrolls in a bundle close to his chest and looked up innocently, “Why are you here?”
"A desire to observe your natural habitat," Astarion replied, finding the sight adorable. "And... Tav suggested it might be beneficial for us to… bond."

Summary
All her life the only care Stengah, the astonishingly beautiful drow sorceress that was now leading their party, had known had been that of her slavers. The same cold attention offered by her goddess as punishment for her rebellion, taking control of her magic to offer her freely to any who wanted her. To have her stripped of the very nature of her being.
Despite Astarion's best interest lying in the absence of any kind of feelings towards the drow, it was only natural for him to form a bond unlike any other with the first person he found who didn't lack understanding of what the word 'torture' truly meant. With the first person who showed affection in a meaningful way.
Gale, for his part, remained in the group exclusively because he had no other place to go with his parasitic stowaway constantly threatening his life, his disdain for the clearly selfish woman obvious to anyone paying attention.
Under no circumstance would he find his gaze following her legs as they disappeared beneath her skirt. Nor was he musing about how he might teach her a proper use for her mouth — instead of lying through it.
After all, wouldn't it be a disgrace for a wizard of his caliber to fall for a sorceress's charms?- Language:
