Nodding Astarion fished the small purple vial from his shirt pocket and removed the cork. He passed it off to Tav trying hard to keep himself from falling apart. The man didn’t hesitate or think twice. He brought the liquid to his mouth and took it down in one gulp. Tav's smile was meek when he finally met Astarion’s gaze after it was done.
“Thank you for being here with me. I wouldn’t have wanted it to be anyone else.”

After the fall of the Absolute Tav and Astarion are finally free to chose their own path in life. And they chose to spend every minute of it together, but there will still always be one thing unchangeable between them. Tav is human, destined to continue aging next to his immortal love.

Summary
You managed to convince Astarion not to go through with the Rite of Profane Ascension. He remains a vampire spawn, and you now offer your blood from time to time to help with his sanguine hunger until a solution is found.
Even though you had both decided to stay as friends back at Moonrise Towers, lines begin to blur once more as other cravings come to the surface… and things with Astarion are seldom uncomplicated.

"Oh, my darling… I have all the time in the world, but you only have a limited supply of blood," he whispered softly and you could almost taste his taunting words.

It really was not on purpose.
Astarion truly was only on the hunt for some blood. Some animal that would satisfy his hunger for the night. And he found one. Of course he did. These forests were full of creatures he could catch and drain of their blood. Some were tastier than others, but definitely better than some putrid rat.
So, when Astarion heard wailing and heaving and cursing echoing through the forest, he didn’t assume it was anyone he recently met. And someone or something must be having a terrible night.

Astarion, furious for being denied his rightful freedom, tells Tav that he wishes she would die screaming.When the threat of the absolute is finally over, Tav is left to pick up the pices of her broken heart- especially after she discovers that she's pregnant.
She tries her best to not break, all the while her forgotten past comes back to haunt her and threaten everything she holds dear.
