Summary
It wasn't just Lantash. Einar was pitted against many other fellow Tok'ra. Sometimes they used training staffs. Sometimes they didn't. Sometimes his opponent did while he did not, and he was frequently in group fights or outnumbered. He learned their strengths and weaknesses.
Of course, he still often lost.

As time passes, Per’sus’ host, Einar, learns to fight by sparring against Lantash, often while at a disadvantage.

Summary
Malek had no idea where he was. Some sort of game room. Sitting by himself, he ate fried cheese puffy things from a bag. He also had a can of watered down carbonated syrup. He found both to be disgusting, and the cheese things left gross greasy crumbs on his fingers. He repeatedly had to wipe his hands.
He was hungry though, and Amb's body needed calories.

Malek has been sent to Stargate Command, where he and his host feel like outsiders, especially in the mess hall. Malek also struggles with the aftermath of having been choked on the Alpha Site.
