He opened his eyes slowly at the sound of that voice now much closer, and at the touch of those hands he had felt too many times not to remember the coldness in them, a single thought made its way into his brain: Tristan was half demon, his hands were always cold.
"Tristan...?" he whispered again, this time staring shocked at the tear-blurred face in front of him as if it were just a trick of his mind, or the decisive clue that he had indeed bled to death and was now on the other side.
But Tristan's right eye was too vivid before him and the emerald green left eye could not belong to a ghost, brilliant as it was, and the light scent of Iris he smelled accompanied it...
