Stiles pulls up in front of a big, old house, where the back half is still looking charred and burnt. It gives the whole place a sort of depressed and haunted feel, but well, Stiles is here for a job, so he ignores it and slams the door on his old jeep, trying not to acknowledge how decrepit it looks right beside the guy’s sleek black camaro, and makes his way towards the steps leading up to the porch.
He barely manages to knock before the door is ripped open and there, in the door, stands the most gorgeous guy Stiles thinks he’s ever seen. He’s like a whole other level of hot, so much that he should be in the freaking Guinness Book of Records for most gorgeous face and perfect stubble ever!

And when a red-eyed, sharp-clawed, silver-fanged creature rises out of the darkness, Steve is one hundred percent certain the dream's morphed into a nightmare.
...until it gives him a cup of tea.
(Inspired partly by this prompt a supernatural creature is supposed to scare you but instead it gives you a cup of tea and a blanket because you're having a bad day and you keep coming back and partly by this painting.)

"How did you end up with a dragon?" Bucky asked, but he was already kneeling beside Steve, touching gentle fingers to the dragon's side, the glow of golden magic washing over the red-tinted scales as it tried to fix what was broken. The dragon sighed with relief, lying less like an overcooked noodle in Steve's arms.
"It just appeared at the window."
"And you let her in?"
"Her?"
"Her," Bucky confirmed.
"Yeah, Bucky. She needed help. I wasn't gonna leave her out there."
Suddenly the dragon heaved herself over, long neck curved, sides rippling, red intensifying until it was almost glowing, there was a moment of strain, the dragon's body tense as steel cable, and then there was an egg in Steve's lap.

Summary
Modern Winter Soldier AU where Bucky is a genie who became HYDRA's Asset.
When HYDRA found the Tesseract they also found a genie in a bottle. Knowing a genie's wishes are a trap that will turn and bite you, they used the power of the Tesseract to enslave the genie. It cost them three wishes but it bought them an Asset with power greater than any human and for 70 years they used him to work HYDRA's will on the world.
Until they lost him.
His bottle washes up on a beach and he's found by a new Master, Steve Rogers. Steve, horrified at having absolute power over someone, has a very different approach to being in control of a genie. While Bucky waits for his new Master to show his true colours they're trying to work out how to live with each other. Bucky doesn't trust Steve, Steve's friends don't trust Bucky, and no one realises HYDRA has not let their Asset go so easily.
