basically a fic where haruhi met the hiitachin children when she was young (like when her mom died) and she was able to tell them apart so they became friends… till Kaoru and Hikaru had to move, but they gave her a clip so that if they meet again , they’d recognize each other. But unfortunately, haruhi ended up stowing it away after finding out how expensive it was— that is until she wore it to a ouran event because she mentioned in passing “oh I used to have these friends that gave me a clip that should work !” And the others begged her to wear it. ESPECIALLY Hikaru and Kaoru … wonder why….?
