He had spent many a quiet night wondering what situation would finally destroy him. And when it would arrive. And now, it seemed like his time had finally come.
Or had it?
With the gracious pity from the last vehicle he expected, his survival comes as a magnanimous surprise. But there is a very long road ahead of him. And he isn't sure he's got the strength to travel it. At least, not alone.
Within a constantly ricocheting battle between fight and flight, he finds himself in the company of an unlikely comrade. Someone who has the potential to brighten his world, and to save it.
But when his previous mission reignites, and the shadows of his not so distant past re-emerge to haunt him, Rod finds himself facing tricky decisions and frightening situations that threaten the continuity of his now rather fragile world.
