Summary
Imagine an AU where the boys, Michael, Sam, Star, and the Frogs teamed up and took down Max. Right now, apart from "Betrayal" and any possible follow up to that, they don't have any true chronological order. As I add them here, I may contextualize them a little, on some kind of timeline. We'll see.
My thoughts on the series title, from a post I made on tumblr:
[The title] kind of sounds like romantic reasoning, on Michael's part. Maybe how he feels about David. Why ultimately forgive him?
Because the night. Everything about the night. The beauty and poetry of it. Passion. Lust. Mystery. Even death. And that's what David has to offer. An endless love, wrapped in night.
David has his flaws, and they are legion. But a little more talking and a little less tricking Michael, or even breaking it down, after Michael starts to turn, coming clean... that could have drastically changed their dynamic. In a world where they're not both caught up in the trappings of toxic masculinity, substituting violence for desire.

Summary
Set in the time period after the ending of The Lost Boys, without an alternate ending, but before the beginning of Flatliners. Nelson Wright has come to Santa Carla to visit an anesthesiologist friend. Along with this friend, Nelson begins groundbreaking research into near death experiences. Wright intends to undergo the process, himself, eventually, but places the ad for volunteers, first. Desperate for cash to leave Santa Carla and find himself, Michael Emerson volunteers for an unusual science experiment advertised in a local entertainment magazine. Michael meets David once again, while "flatlined." Once back from the other side, David haunts Michael during violent nightmares that cause literal physical harm. As both Nelson and David were played by Kiefer Sutherland, the similarity in resemblance is uncanny. This becomes ever more problematic as romance develops. Furthermore, Nelson unwittingly echoes David's words and mannerisms. Will David claim Michael and exact vengeance? Is Nelson capable of stopping him?

Summary
Michael wakes up, fully clothed from the night before, during "golden hour," that time of day when the sun isn't quite setting and seems to make everything glow, as from within. But even that relatively gentle light pains his eyes, enough that he needs the sunglasses on his nightstand. He doesn't hear anyone, anywhere near his room, and figures even with an unlocked door, he has enough privacy for a little solo fun. Actually morning or not, he woke up hard.
Memories of Star, sensual curiosity, and vivid fantasies collide.
Then, the sun dips below the horizon, and David awakes, back at the cave... David's laughter echoes in his head. Is Michael developing feelings for him? Or was David really there, somehow? His offhand comment and confrontational body-language later that night suggest David somehow knows something. No matter where Michael is, he can't escape him. Not even within his own head.

Summary
Michael Emerson has nearly drained the ornate glass bottle to the bottom. Between that and the joint David handed him earlier, he's unsteady on his feet, but unaware of exactly how impaired he really is. David seizes the opportunity to torment a very intoxicated pretty guy. He toys with Michael emotionally and verbally, before finally leading him back to one of the beds. Star lingers nearby, trying perhaps to impart a warning with nonverbal communication, alone, but does not intervene.
