Despite what many believe, Jason didn’t remember the first time he died.
Of course, he remembers the torture, the crowbar. He remembers well the sick, bitter taste of betrayal that washed down his throat when he found out what his mother, Sheila, did. He even remembered the feeling of fire, flesh burning. Yet, death itself was quite lackluster compared to all the build-up. It seemed that, despite the Joker’s showmanship, he still had performance issues.
So no, Jason couldn’t quite remember his first death, but he could fairly well remember the others.
Or, I love the idea of Jason resurrecting, decided there aren't enough fics of it, and chose to write it myself. Follows from the grave to Gotham.
