He could sit beside them at the lunch table, letting them love each other while he ate silently, as long as he still had a place to sit.Riddle wakes up from a nightmare and goes to Trey's room for comfort. When he finds Cater sleeping beside Trey, he's forced to confront how he feels about both of them.

Vast is expected to inherit the Cadere family business. After all, he’s the only son to Magnus and Alexandria.
But, of course, life isn’t ever as planned, is it? The Caderes got caught up in a scandal, and now to cover their own tracks, his mother and father have forced him to choose a university to attend, to keep up public appearances.
He’ll never forget the looks on their faces when he got his acceptance letter to Brightstep University- a prestigious college on the other side of the state- that just so happens to be owned and operated by the only people the Caderes can’t stand.

“My name’s Aether! You look really under the weather. I don’t have much medicine on me since I just moved, but there’s a pharmacy nearby.” Aether’s breath is warm and Xiao just wants to cry. There’s an awkward pause before Xiao can muster up the willpower to reply.
“No need,” he whispers, struggling to keep his saliva at bay. He really needs to close this door right now. “I just need rest,” he slurs, slowly closing the door. Aether smiles something solemn and nods his head.
“Okay. If you need anything, I’m just a door over on the right. Even if you just want company.” On any other day, one where Xiao was not desperate for just the smallest drop of blood, he would have appreciated the offer of kindness. Now, all it does is pull at his still heart with a strange feeling of guilt. His instincts screech blood-blood-blood- drain and insist he tear Aether apart when all the newcomer wants to do is offer a helping hand.Or: Xiao, a Vampire with no safe access to food, is starving to death... and Aether is a little too kind for his own good.
