Summary
Rich is well-built, stocky and could probably fling Jeremy around even after all the push-ups the SQUIP made him do. Of course Jeremy would admire his looks. A totally normal, heterosexual thing to do.
That doesn’t really explain why he’s hovering at the entrance of the bedroom Rich is in with a tent in his pants. It’s definitely Rich’s fault, pressing himself all over Jeremy and fluttering his lashes, talking in that manner.
Jeremy knocks on the open door.
“Ohhh,” Rich smiles when he sees him, crooks a finger to beckon him over, “hey.”
or, Jeremy fucks Rich at Finderman's house party. He's totally not gay, though.

Summary
Tango expects it, prepares for an axe in his back. Logically, Bdubs has no reason to do it, but when has Bdubs ever made sense? Making sense would be telling the team that he was the boogey, asking them to get him a kill. And everyone knows how that went. So he waits, anticipates it, so that maybe he could at least block it and survive.
It never happens. The wind charge hits Bdubs, and he dies.
or, Tango kills Bdubs. He doesn't know how to feel about it.

“Hi, Amami,” Kaito responds. He sounds a little breathless, almost winded, like he’s been running. It wakes Rantaro up a little. Sweeping his hand through his hair, Rantaro prepares to respond with more concern, but Kaito beats him to the punch: “So uh, I dunno how to put this. We’re dating now.”
Of all the things Rantaro had been revving himself up to hear, that can go in maybe the bottom one thousand. “Excuse me?”
“Yeah, uhh—wait, shit. What time is it over there? Should I call you back?”
Rantaro stares over at the blinking red numbers of the hotel room’s alarm clock, which now read 3:06AM. After a pause to weigh his curiosity and his body’s natural need for sleep, Rantaro eventually responds, “I can last through a short phone call. I think I should be telling you to buy me dinner first, but it sounds as though that’s already happened?”

In the heat of the moment, to get out of rejecting a love confession, Kaito tells Maki that he's gay and dating someone he barely knows: Amami Rantaro. He comes up with a simple plan of action for getting himself out of it... but of course, life is rarely simple.

At least Harukawa-san got to confess, Shuichi thinks, flopping back onto his back. It’s a startlingly bitter thought. Maki, of all people, deserves the closure she must have gotten from finally getting to claim her own feelings, to tell Kaito with her entire chest how much she loved him… but Shuichi was too cowardly to do the same. Not that his feelings for Kaito were anywhere near comparable to hers (surely not) but still… Kaito made him laugh and smile in a situation where laughing and smiling would have felt impossible before. He took responsibility for Shuichi’s mistakes and puffed his chest out in the face of the danger they were up against. He gave Shuichi… courage.
That must be the source of the warmth in Shuichi’s chest right now, a heat so intense it’s nearly enough to burn. It’s worse that Shuichi can’t remember if he said sorry. Kaito died because of him and he doesn’t even know if he managed to get all of his words out in time before Kaito had to go.

Rather than jump right into chapter six, Shuichi gets one night after trial 5 to reflect on what happened.
(And then, of course, he sees Kaito again.)

Still, Rantaro sucks in a breath through his teeth and quickens his pace, rushing across the courtyard until he can swing his suitcase around behind the bench and drop to his knees in front of Kaito, hands already extending to reach for his face.
Kaito winces, but doesn’t lean away from the touch. Quite the contrary; his head drops into Rantaro’s palms, and Rantaro feels the wrinkles that form in Kaito’s brow when his thumbs smooth over the skin. Up close like this, it’s clear that despite the way his face looks, Kaito isn’t too roughed up. Nothing more than a light scuffle, from the look of it. But whatever happened was clearly enough to rattle Kaito, whose breath keeps hitching as he trembles within Rantaro’s grasp.
“What happened?” Rantaro whispers. He shuffles closer, pressing his forehead into Kaito’s after determining that there aren’t any injuries there. “Kaito, who did this?”
“You should—” Kaito’s voice breaks and his lip wobbles as he forces out, “You should see the other guy.”

Kaito calls Rantaro in distress while Rantaro is on his way to the airport. Naturally, Rantaro rushes right back.

“You don’t like it?” Rantaro asks, nudging her. The group is making their way away from the ice cream parlour, towards the lake near Kaede’s house, but Rantaro slows a bit more. “We can go back and get you another one. Or you can have mine.” Rantaro had gotten vanilla, figuring it was the safest choice in case anybody wanted to steal bites of his. So far Kokichi has snuck in two, and Kaito nabbed one as well since Rantaro was offering, but Kaede hasn’t said much since leaving the place.
“Huh? Oh, no! It’s okay.” Kaede shakes her head. “I just kinda wish I hadn’t gotten the nuts on it…” She chuckles sheepishly. “I guess I was so caught off guard when the guy offered, I didn’t think about it and just agreed… Total mistake.”
Come to think about it, Rantaro doesn’t think he’s ever seen Kaede take nuts on her ice cream, so it makes sense that she wouldn’t like it. He gestures for Kaede to hand her cup to him, passing his cone over for her to hold while he begins the process of carefully scraping the nuts from her scoop.

Kokichi, Kaito, Rantaro, and Kaede go on an ice cream double date and enjoy each others' company.
