In the six months since the Netherbrain's fall, Gale has surrendered the Crown of Karsus to Mystra, returned to his tower in Waterdeep, and accepted a teaching position at Blackstaff Academy. In the six months since the Netherbrain's fall and the loss of her parents, Shadowheart has endured the life of a fugitive. Constantly on the run from Sharran assassins, with little more than the companionship of her beloved dog to call her own, she is plagued both by the memories she has lost, and those she is cursed to retain. If she has nurtured her proclivity for overindulging in wine and seeks punishment for her past misdeeds... well, that's no one's business.
