“No,” he muttered, taking his hands away from his face. Immediately after, he wished he hadn’t, because there was no mistaking the rosiness over his features.
Beverly twirled a lock of hair over her finger, grinning and exchanging glances with Brian. “Ah, right…sorry, I meant- someone caught your eye, Special Agent Graham?”

After a few missed calls, Will decides to drive over to check on him, thinking that Hannibal may be avoiding him. What he finds may surprise him even more.

The only thing that has always been able to put Will to sleep is a drive in Hannibal’s car. Willing to try anything, Hannibal bundles him up and they go for a midnight drive to Wolf Trap and back. Maybe the familiar road traveled will finally be enough for Will to get some real sleep.

Hannibal smiles at that. “I’m aware.” he replied warmly, closing his eyes and guide himself towards slumber, vividly hearing one last sentence.

A very sorely needed "Hey, remember how Hannibal canonically has 6 fingers on his left hand? Why does no one talk about this?" fic
In retrospect, It boggles Will just how long it took for him to notice it. With all of Dr. Hannibal Lecter's eccentricities, it could be argued that that was probably the least bizarre or interesting- but still.
Will figured out Hannibal was a serial killer and cannibal before he noticed that his boyfriend- no matter how juvenile Hannibal finds the title, it is just as apt as "partner" or "significant lover" or whatever other title Hannibal called him- has six fingers on his left hand.
