Summary
Alphinaud has spent years waiting for his growth with increasing impatience, but it's been painfully slow in coming. There is nothing quite so frustrating as being an adult stuck in a youth's body. All the more so as he knows he must wait until he's grown before he can truly confess his feelings to Estinien, and have any hope of them being returned.
But there are more effects from the Scions' journey to the First shard than they had yet realized, and it turns out there's a terrible reason the twins' growth has been so delayed. Faced with the possibility of never growing up, and all the disadvantages that entails, Alphinaud has no idea how to deal with his new reality.
He's not quite willing to give up on his dreams just yet - and, it seems, Estinien isn't so willing to admit defeat, either.

Summary
Snatches of Emet-Selch’s life as Solus zos Galvus, like bubbles in time. A character study of the man as soldier, husband, father, and leader, and how he interacted with those close to him.
Even in the sunniest weather, the days are dark, and the nights darker. The golden veneer flakes away with the years, exposing corrupted innards, smoking and twisted. And those innards in turn corrupt everything they touch.
Written largely before 6.0.

The beast dies on the grassy plains, leaking ichor into the dirt. It stinks powerfully of death, as though the very end of all things has been distilled down into one being that’s been left to rot in this fallow field.
